Little Greene Galette No. 340 Paint

This medium-weight orange-brown shade was faithfully reproduced on the stage doors of Britain’s only surviving Regency theatre; the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds. Cheap to produce and good at hiding dirt, browns like this were functional and popular choices in 1819. Fast forward 200 years and this shade has become the epitome of good taste, its autumnal undertones making it a great colour to use alongside rustic and natural finishes, whether oak or darker woods, and stone or quarry tile floors.
